With April Fool’s Day 2017, Depend,  a company that is specialised in products for men and women with incontinence, launched a surprising but actually very normal video. In the video Benjamin Dover, CEO of Depend, says the following ambiguous sentence: “For three years now our company has been number one, and right now I’m going number two.”

This ad has many different underlying messages. In the first place, Depend sells its product meanwhile they generate time-based media coverage (April 1st). On top of that they achieved in making a to-the-point and hilarious spot. Although maybe the biggest message of the video is that the CEO is pooping. This implicates that he’s also just a human being with human needs. Using the CEO’s face gives the brand a real image and shows the man behind the company.
